Xmas Ornaments - 2003

I was involved in a layout "race" and had to do a layout very quickly scraplifted from a layout sent to me. So I needed to find photos already printed off and came across these photos of Xmas ornaments taken in 2003.

You can't tell from the photo, but the red letters are sparkly as is the gold ornament die-cut.

Fall in New Hampshire - 2010

We spent a few days in North Conway NH in the fall.

I'm using items from the November kit of ScrapShotz that I received yesterday.

Bernie loves Pizza! - 2004

I've always loved this photo of Bernie and the pizza. It really shows how much he LOVES FOOD!

Wright Bros - 2009

Well I thought the Heroes and Villains Crop was over on Sunday evening but you had until MONDAY at midnight to enter challenges. So I managed to squeeze in one more 2-page layout. This challenge was Virginia's Everyday Hero challenge. You had to do a project that was either about a hero or had the word hero in the title PLUS include 3 different elements. My elements were: brads, ribbon and diecuts.

We were in Kittyhawk, North Carolina in March 2009 and visited the site of their first flight.

Everything used on this layout (including the sketch) is from CTMH except for the diecuts (the Wright Bros title and bi-plane) which were bought from an LSS in that area.

Yikes - 2010

This will be the last challenge I do for the Heros and Villains On-Line crop. I'm POOPED!

This one was done for Virginia's Word Girl challenge to use only one word for the title.

Here's my great-niece with a frog on her head! (no the frog isn't real). The flower shaped paper and strips are Autumn Leaves, tags are SEI. The title uses CTMH alphas.

Card Challenges

I have also completed several card challenges. I don't want to post photos of them since I will be giving them away at some point so I want them to be a surprise.

BUT, I will tell you what the challenges are.....

Heros and Villains Charity Chaser Card
This challenge was to lift the idea of the card of the person before you. You had to complete it within an hour. If you are able to do this, then $5 will be donated to a charity.

Jennifer's Superman Challenge:
Make a card using Superman's colours in his costume (red and blue

Carolyn's Florence Nightingale Challenge:
Make a get well card using some yellow

Wendy's Lone Ranger Challenge:
Make a card or layout using a mask.

I Believe - 2010

For this layout I used Jen's Sidney Crosby Challenge. You had to use the colours from one of his many hockey uniforms plus add a touch of gold.

Well, seeing Sidney Crosby's photo reminded me of the Olympics and that heart-stopping goal he made in overtime to win Canada the gold medal in Men's hockey.

So I took a photo of my red Olympic mitts and did a layout in red/white. I included hidden journaling about how exciting the Olympics were to myself and DH plus all our fellow Canadians.

The layout is based on Sketch 37 of 52sketches52weeks and the touch of gold are the star brads.
