This week we are asking people to add animals to their project.

A have a friend who loves owls and when I saw this owl in a Kaisercraft ephemera pack, I couldn't resist incorporating into a card for her. Hope she likes it!

USE YOUR STUFF Challenge #247 - 6x6 papers

Tina has asked us to use a minimum of three 6x6 papers.  I have TONS of these paper pads (I love them!) so it was difficult to choose which pads to use. In the end I chose two different paper pads that seemed to co-ordinate nicely.

Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  AC Amy Tan - Yes, Please
                          Basic Grey - B-Side
Mist (for the droplets): Heidi Swapp
"hello" die: Little B
Date Stamp: Amy Tan
Pen: Pigma
Ink: Close to My Heart
Circle Punches: Fiskars and Creative Memories
Sketch: Creative Scrappers
Inspired by a layout done by: Joefil Cate

Note: The flowers and camera were fussycut from the patterned papers.

Let's check out what the other DT members have come up with here.

USE YOUR STUFF Challenge #246 - Oh Canada

It's my turn to choose the challenge at USE YOUR STUFF.

In 2017, Canada turns 150 years old and we're going to be partying all year long!  So I asked everyone to do something that reminds them of Canada.  For example:

If you live here or have ever visited, a layout with photos of Canada.
Use the colours RED and WHITE
Use our flag like a sketch for a card.
Use any of the symbols of Canada on your project, like:
  • The beaver
  • Hockey
  • Maple Leaf (leaves)
  • Poutine (LOL)
  • Winter (although, contrary to popular believe that is only ONE of our four seasons)
  • Politeness

The sky's the limit.

Here are my projects.

First a card showing leaves and a beaver.

Cardbase: Recollections
Embossing Folder: Darice
Distress Inks (on the embossing): Tim Holtz
Journaling Tag: Maya Road
Beaver Stamp: Studio G
Coloured Pencils: Prismacolor
Twine: We R Memory Keepers

I also created a two page layout.  We were visiting Niagara Falls in June 2016 and had dinner at the Skylon Tower.  What a beautiful 360 degree view!

Patterned Paper: Kaisercraft - #ME
Diecuts: Kaisercraft - #ME
Wooden "together": ?? bought a Michaels then inked with Tim Holtz marker
Pen: Zig
Sketch: Scrapbook and Cards Today

Now let's see what the other team members at USE YOUR STUFF have created.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope 2017 is happy and healthy for all of us!
