USE YOUR STUFF Challenge #270 - Magical Music

Heather has asked to use a Disney tune in our project.  In this layout, I have used the song FEED THE BIRDS from the movie MARY POPPINS.

These photos were taken at Gatorland, Florida in March of this year.

Cardstock: Bazzill
Mist: Heidi Swapp
Date stamp: Amy Tangerine
The rest of the products: Fancy Pants - Attwell
Sketch: Creative Scrappers - June 2017

Note: I fussycut the flowers from patterned paper.  The top piece of paper is actually two rows of washi tape on top of patterned paper. The bottom row is washi tape.

USE YOUR STUFF Challenge #268 - Try Something New

RenĂ©e has asked us to try something new - it could be a new technique or a new product or tool.  I just recently bought this Taylored Expressions fireworks embossing folder.  I tried several different ways before I came up with this idea.  I used black cardstock with a white core.  Once the paper was embossed, I gently sanded the top so the white would show through.

Cardstock: Close to My Heart
Embossing folder: Taylored Expressions - Fireworks
Arrow diecut: My Minds Eye
"congrats" die: Little B
wooden stars: Studio Calico
white ink on stars: Tsukineko

Let's go check out what new things the UYS DT has used/tried here.

Toys - 2016

This past Christmas, Mom bought us these retro toys: jacks, tiddlywinks and pick-up-sticks.  We had fun playing with them.

I wanted to use the January sketch from the SCT 365 class I am taking but I didn't have the right paper. I knew what I wanted to use but it took me a few months to get my hands on it.  I completed this layout this past weekend at the Red and White Crop put on by my LSS Crop-a-While.  I even made my own miniature pick-up-sticks using toothpicks and colouring the ends with markers.

Cardstock: unknown - stuff I've had forever
Patterned Paper: Carta Bella - Toy Box
Diecuts: Carta Bella - Toy Box
Stickers: Carta Bella - Toy Box
Borders: Colorbok (I've had these forever)
Ink: Close to My Heart and Tim Holtz

Hogwarts Express - 2017

While in Florida in March/April, we went to Universal Stdios/Islands of Adventure.  We took the Hogwarts Express a couple of times.  What fun!  Truly a unique experience.

This layout was scraplifted from one done by Suzanna Lee on the Creative Scrappers blog. I changed mine by rotating the sketch and using 3 photos. I realize the photos look like they don't line up straight but they do in real life.

Base page: CraftSmith
Black cardstock: Recollections
Patterned Paper: Reminisce
Alpha Stickers: EK success
Twine: Hemptique
Gold paper: Tim Holtz - Core-dinations
Gems: ???
Wooden stars: Studio Calico
Corner punch: Creative Memories
Harry Potter logo: downloaded from the internet and cut using my Cricut

SCT 365 Class - May sketch

I am FINALLY getting caught up on this class. Going to a three-day crop this past weekend really helped.

This layout is based on the sketch for May.

I was away with my sister and Mom for a few days in May and one of the places we visited was this wonderful park in Perth, Ontario.

I used all Basic Grey products (Pyrus).  I had won this set (papers, buttons, brads, stickers, etc.) a few years ago but never used it until now.
