Yikes - 2010

This will be the last challenge I do for the Heros and Villains On-Line crop. I'm POOPED!

This one was done for Virginia's Word Girl challenge to use only one word for the title.

Here's my great-niece with a frog on her head! (no the frog isn't real). The flower shaped paper and strips are Autumn Leaves, tags are SEI. The title uses CTMH alphas.

Card Challenges

I have also completed several card challenges. I don't want to post photos of them since I will be giving them away at some point so I want them to be a surprise.

BUT, I will tell you what the challenges are.....

Heros and Villains Charity Chaser Card
This challenge was to lift the idea of the card of the person before you. You had to complete it within an hour. If you are able to do this, then $5 will be donated to a charity.

Jennifer's Superman Challenge:
Make a card using Superman's colours in his costume (red and blue

Carolyn's Florence Nightingale Challenge:
Make a get well card using some yellow

Wendy's Lone Ranger Challenge:
Make a card or layout using a mask.

I Believe - 2010

For this layout I used Jen's Sidney Crosby Challenge. You had to use the colours from one of his many hockey uniforms plus add a touch of gold.

Well, seeing Sidney Crosby's photo reminded me of the Olympics and that heart-stopping goal he made in overtime to win Canada the gold medal in Men's hockey.

So I took a photo of my red Olympic mitts and did a layout in red/white. I included hidden journaling about how exciting the Olympics were to myself and DH plus all our fellow Canadians.

The layout is based on Sketch 37 of 52sketches52weeks and the touch of gold are the star brads.

Verona - 2006

This layout was done for the Jen's King Henry VIII challenge. You had to use rich colours and 6 different elements (for each of his 6 wives).

These photos are of a couple of balconies in Verona, Italy. The one of the right is Juliette's balcony supposedly the inspiration for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliette.

My six elements were:
- bling
- lace
- rickrack
- black chipboard
- overlay
- alphas

A Pirate's Life for Me - 2008

This layout was done for Jess's Long John Silver challenge. The challenge was to do a layout based on pirates.

We had been to the Whydah Pirate Museum in Cape Cod in 2008 and I had never scrapped those photos, so this was the PERFECT challenge for this. I had even bought a pirate themed kit by Karen Foster that I was able to use.

Heros and Villains Crop

I've just recently joined a new kit club over at Scrap Shotz - an online scrapbooking store out of Calgary, AB. They have a gallery and a forum and are running an on-line crop this weekend.

It's called Heros and Villains and the challenges are all based on various heros and villains - real or fictional.

Any layouts (not the cards) that I have completed for the challenges, will be posted next. Stay tuned!

Animal Kingdom - 2009

The only 2 pages I have done in October! I guess I've been too busy to scrap.

This 2 page layout was done with a CTMH kit.
