Another layout from the wonderful Paper Passion April Kit as guest designer.
This photo is of "Our Girls" - Mia and Cassie, taken in December 2008. They are 12 and 7 years old now. Both were rescued. We've had Mia for 11 years and Cassie for about 5 years.
This was the second layout done at the CTMH workshop. I wasn't able to finish it that day though, so I finished it home.
I've been friends with these 2 gals since 1975. We don't get together very often because one of them lives in Red Deer. Last January, she came to town and we were able to get together for a whole afternoon and evening. It was wonderful.
At the CTMH workshop this past weekend, I did two 2-page layouts. This first one shows my roots - my material grandparents, my paternal grandparents, my Mom and Dad (at around the age that they met) and of course, ME! Aren't I a cutie??? LOL!
I was compelled to scrap my favourite photo of my Auntie Ev (taken on her 80th birthday). She passed away a few weeks ago and I wasn't able to attend the funeral due to illness.
The second layout done with the Paper Passion April Kit.
We were all down in Trenton for Carol's 50th birthday. It happened to be Mother's Day as well that weekend, so we all went out for brunch. Here's all the "gals" plus a wonderful photo of Mom and her youngest granddaughter.
I am SO, so flattered and excited (and VERY nervous) about being asked to be the guest designer for the April Kit at The Paper Passion. My first layout is done, but I won't post it here until after Rosa posts it on her blog.
My name is Gail and I have been married to my DH for 30 plus years. We live in Canada's capital. I am retired which means I can now devote my time to travelling, scrapbooking and doll collecting!
